Top 5 Tips To Get You Trim

Everybody's got their top tip for losing weight. We've almost become a nation of experts yet, how is it that many of us are still looking for that ultimate secret.

You know the one that turned fat spice into thin spice or that one from your favourite soap who dropped a stone of fat by the very next episode!

Well let me tell you now, there is no secret unless eating good clean wholesome food is something that's been hidden away from you until now.

There is however confusion as to what to eat and when to eat it, and hopefully this article will help clear it up a little.

Now before I release my top tips on you let first start by saying this:

None of this information is new found ground breaking stuff. If you apply it, you'll achieve some fantastic results and be able to maintain those results if you stick to what I tell you.

Here goes;

1. Increase your fat intake. Fat does not make you fat! In fact one of the most saturated fats with a percentage of 63% Saturates actually speeds up your metabolism and helps you lose fat!

The fat is Coconut oil and is a must on your shopping list, just make sure this is the only oil you cook with. Here's a few other oils I'd recommend, extra virgin olive oil (don't cook with it), flax seed oil and hemp seed oil.

2. Cut back on the Carbs!

When increasing your fat intake, cut down on your carbohydrate intake. Way too many people each too many carbs. Instead of the average 60% of carbs per day aim for 25-40% and make those carbs fibrous vegetables like broccoli, Brussel sprouts and alfalfa sprouts. You can still have your rice and potatoes just make sure they are sweet potatoes and brown organic rice.

3. Eat clean healthy foods. If it wasn't around even 1000 years ago then there's a very good chance that it's got some form of preservative or additives in it.

4. Drink more water. Aim for at least 1 litre of water per 50lbs of body weight. We rely and function on water just as our vehicles rely on petrol or diesel. You wouldn't expect your vehicle to work without any kinda fuel would you?

5. Eat protein with every meal. At least then if you do have carbs you can slow the rate of the Glycemic Index or GI (rate at which food has an effect on blood sugar) down so you begin to drip feed energy throughout you body. Good forms of protein are things like chicken, fish, eggs and hemp seeds.

Цены продажи квартир на вторичном рынке недвижимости Киева с 24 по 31 августа

За период с 24 по 31 августа 2009 года средняя цена квадратного метра на вторичном рынке Киева выросла на 0.32% и составила $ 2167 за кв. м.

За неделю количество предложений в базе сократилось на 0.33%.

По разным районам Киева видим как рост, так и падение цен. Максимальное падение - в Деснянском районе (-2.02%). Максимальный рост - в Печерском районе (+2.17%).

Средняя цена квадратного метра на вторичном рынке недижимости Киева составила:

Центр - $ 3769 (рост на 2.61%)

Правый берег (без Центра) - $ 2088 (падение на 0.28%)

Левый берег - $ 1628 (падение на 0.48%)

Самые дешевые 3-комнатные квартиры в Деснянском районе - $ 1409 за кв. м (подешевели на 0.70%). Самые дорогие 3-комнатные квартиры в Печерском районе - $ 4049 за кв. м (подорожали на 1.65%).

3-комнатные квартиры подорожали на 1.35%,

2-комнатные – подешевели на 0.31%,

1-комнатные – подешевели на 1.07 %.

Top 7 Weight Loss -Tips That Spell Success

I have been right where you are, trying to lose weight, reach my goal weight and then keep it off. I have spent my life going up and down with yo-yo dieting and at times doing double duty with 5 hours a day of exercise, while my mom sat down with a pound of her favorite candy and lost weight without any exercise.

Losing weight is hard. It's much easier to pack on the pounds than to take them off. I have been on the starvation diet, the low carbohydrate diet, the cabbage soup diet, nothing but chicken diet and every other diet and form of exercise that I found.

I always managed to take some of the weight off, but not all of it. Additionally, once I was beginning to feel good about myself, I became subconsciously uncomfortable with my new found slim line and packed the pounds back on again but with more added weight than before.

I finally decided I was going to look inward and make decisions. I realized it that it wasn't my fear of failure; it was my fear success that was actually holding me back.

There is always some 'latest miracle magic' diet pill or fad diet for weight loss and miraculous cures for appetite. It's a multi-billion dollar industry. What is the answer? The answer is actually within you and it has been all the time.

The real winning strategy is all about decisions. It's a decision I had to make for myself and now I am here to share those tips and strategies I figured used that have helped me make changes in my attitudes towards food, my attitude towards me and the world around me that always said I was fat.

It's not about losing weight; it's about gaining your life and health back for you, your family and your children if you have them. You have to decide (D.E.C.I.D.E) to make a change and refresh that decision daily in your actions, reactions, subconscious and conscious mind.

It's a lifestyle change, not a practice in deprivation. What happens when a child really wants to touch the burning hot flame, even after you've told them 'no' a million times? They still have the urge to touch the flame. You have to give yourself permission to eat and the cravings will begin to subside.

*Always check with your doctor of course before you change your eating and exercise routines.

It's time to eat to live instead of living to eat. The following is my Top 7 List for successful weight loss and keeping it off or my (D.E.C.I.D.E) strategy.



  • Tip 1. D - Decide to eat to live instead of living to eat and make exercise a regular part of your routine. Mark a spot in your daily calendar for a time to hit the gym, hit the weights, hit the pool, hit the hiking trail or hit the mat. Whatever you enjoy most hit it and hit your subconscious appetite with permission to eat the foods you love in smaller portions.


  • Tip 2. E - Educate yourself on your body and how it works with foods. Why don't diets work? Because deprivation makes you want it more.


  • Tip 3. C - Calories. It's all about calories. The only diet that actual works is, to burn off more calories than you take in. Never starve yourself or you will put your body into famine mode, which is built into your historical chemistry. One day my doctor said to me, when I was in my dieting yo-yo mode and 10-lbs shy of my goal weight, that people like me were meant to survive famines, where someone like her would die in a famine! I laughed my head off. Really, when is the last time I had seen a famine? Never!

    The trick to eating is to eat only what you want, in small portions, exactly when you want it and not on impulse (meaning you saw it then you wanted it). If after thinking carefully about the food you are craving and deciding that it wasn't about seeing it and wanting it you still can't live without it, eat one, not the whole bunch. Give yourself permission to eat it and eventually you won't want it as much. Food is not an enemy.


  • Tip 4. I - Intermittent training, also known as "IT," helps to burn calories. IT is short intervals of exercise that has more speed behind it (either aerobic or anaerobic) with short intervals of rest in-between. You need to consult your doctor and a fitness instructor to find out what is best for you.


  • Tip 5. D - Dedicate yourself to your commitment to living each day and bring a friend along for the ride. Nothing spells success like a friend in fat.


  • Tip 6. E - Eradicate the saboteurs in your life. The sad truth is that many family, friends and co-workers want you to succeed, but are more comfortable subconsciously with the way you are than the way you want to be.

    Let those around you know that you need their help to succeed. Ask them to kindly not offer any extra cakes, cookies and ice cream purchased as a special treat just for you. After that it will be about willpower and making a decision not to eat all the extra goodies, only those you have decided you wanted based on your hunger not on your sight. One goodie won't hurt. However, the entire gallon ice cream or package of cookies will.

    That finishes the D.E.C.I.D.E but there is one last tip


  • Tip 7- Last but not least, celebrate yourself. Don't celebrate with food, but with family, friends and fun. Take a walk in the mountains or down Main Street instead of going to your favorite restaurant.

Have A High Energy Quick Fix Breakfast Every Day

Forget skipping breakfast. You know without me reminding you that all weight control diets and fitness programs stress that you must have breakfast. They preach this because its true. Very simple. You have fasted all night as you slept. How the hell is your poor body going to drag you around for the day if you don't refuel when you wake up? And you have to refuel with high energy food to be able to function at maximum capacity. A cup of coffee and a cigarette is not a recognised hot breakfast option (and it makes your breath stink) - forget it.

There is no excuse for not eating in the morning. Don't be lazy. Get yourself organised and get some decent food into you every day and you will feel great. You will feel alert as your brain kicks into gear. You will feel resilient and strong and ready to (gasp) exercise as well as work and play.

Forget breakfast on the run. Do yourself the best possible favour and don't eat in the car or when you get to the office (do you really want to scream "I am a disorganised loser" to your co-workers?) Don't eat some well marketed takeaway from a giant fast food chain or a greasy bacon and egg concoction from the local service station. Apart from the risks of drips onto your clothing, you are just shovelling fatty, sugary, salty calories into your body and building up your already overfull stodge deposits. You are worth much more than that.

Work out a high energy breakfast that is quick to put together and that you can learn to like or even love. You may choose to prepare it the night before to give you more flexibility during your morning rush.

Here are some breakfast suggestions that work for a weight control diet.

Muesli with low fat yoghurt. Not toasted muesli (fat, remember), but oats, dried fruits and nuts which you may need to moisten in a little water(not fruit juice) the night before. You only need about 1/3 cup of muesli plus the yoghurt, but it will make you feel full and give you stacks of energy.

Banana smoothie or protein shake. Use skim milk to mix with either a banana, a spoonful of wheatgerm and a splash of honey or a commercially available protein shake. The frothy milk will fill your stomach and the fruit or protein mix will take care of the energy levels you need to attain.

Wholemeal (wholewheat) toast with baked beans (fibre plus) or a decent breakfast spread. Take 2 pieces. Try without butter if you can manage it. This will be enough to fill your stomach and have you avoid an inappropriate treat mid morning when your neglected guts are groaning like a halloween ghost from lack of breakfast sustenance.

A weekend treat. On the weekend, make breakfast last a bit longer and have a bit of a treat, according to your taste. Boiled or poached eggs with a little ham or salmon and toast or a croissant with a little jam would do no harm.(ditch the butter and stick to just one croissant) Or go for a couple of slices of fruit toast.

You can't live every day of the week on muesli or protein shakes; the boredom would send you mad. But you can make a pact with yourself to eat a good breakfast every day with a weekend treat.

The breakfast you choose must give you the energy to start every day with enthusiasm and commitment.

Try it, get into the habit. You will never regret it.
